The Capital City Minstrels (CCM) returns this winter to celebrate the sound of Christmas with their ‘Peace’ themed concerts. As winter descends in all its beauty, the music will showcase the hope for a new season of peace in every aspect of life, in an increasingly fragile, fractured world. The group will celebrate a number of women composers in the selection of music, as well as welcome back to the helm, Delhi-based musician, composer and director, Sharmila Banerjee Livingston, as conductor of the group. Performing a dynamic Christmas repertoire, CCM will give the audience a taste of the joyful, inclusive and unifying nature of choral music. The first concert will take place at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, on December 15, while the second one will take place at Cathedral Church of the Redemption, on December 18.
