Tiger Palace Resort, Nepal, Chosen as the Official Hotel for the First Buddhist International Travel


Silver Heritage Group Limited and its Nepal operating subsidiary, Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa, Lumbini, are pleased to announce the selection of Tiger Palace Resort as the Official Hotel for the first Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM) 2019 that is being held in Lumbini, Nepal in January.

BITM is organised by the Government of Nepal Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation in conjunction with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is the implementing partner of the event. The event is expected to establish Nepal as a premium tourism destination as well as a spiritual destination through Buddhist travel mart exploring the birthplace of Buddha in Lumbini, Nepal. This will acquaint leading tour operators with Nepal’s tourism products and services and thus will create the opportunity for niche tourism market for pilgrimage in Nepal. BITM will help to develop Lumbini as one of the predominant travel destination. Nepal’s second international airport “Gautam Buddha International Airport” in Bhairahawa, Nepal is due to open in 2019 which will enable international travellers to fly directly to Lumbini, within 20km of Gautam Buddha Airport and within 10km of Tiger Palace Resort.

The Resort has also created over 700 new jobs for Nepali’s and is a leading light in the development of FDI projects in Nepal.
