The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), South Asia’s largest hospitality company, will introduce its iconic brand, Taj to Alwar in Rajasthan. This will be the 12th IHCL branded hotel in the state.
Commenting on the signing of this agreement, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL said “IHCL has a special relationship with the state of Rajasthan since 1970 when it started managing the landmark Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur and put Rajasthan on the global tourist map. With the addition of this Taj branded hotel, the Company opens up a new tourism circuit as the Alwar district is conveniently located with close proximity to New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. We are delighted to partner with Vanista Nature Pvt. Ltd. for this hotel.”
The new Taj branded hotel is a Greenfield project near the scenic Siliserh Lake surrounded by picturesque views of the Aravalli Mountain Range. The hotel will comprise 170 expansive rooms including 50 branded villas. With a host of dining options, large meeting and banqueting facilities, wellness areas and recreation zones, the hotel will be the perfect destination for guests travelling for business or leisure. It is slated to open in 2022.
