The Park Hotels, one of the pioneers of luxury boutique hotels in India, recently organised 'The Park Elle Décor Student Contest' in collaboration with Elle Décor India, for the 7th consecutive year. The contest aimed to promote young designers in the country and give them an opportunity to work with prominent design icons and industry stalwarts. The winners got a certificate and an opportunity to get a firm foothold in the design industry by showcasing their creations at India Design ID 2019, one of the paramount platforms for the new generation of designers.
India Design ID 2019 was India’s most definitive design week, where leading minds from the Indian and International design fraternity converged for engaging design dialogues. Talking about the association and the contest, Priya Paul, Chairperson, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Ltd. said, “The Park Hotels is proud to collaborate with India Design ID as its Strategic Design Partners for the 7th consecutive year. The Park Elle Décor Student Contest has evolved over the years and has turned out to be a great way to recognise and encourage young budding talent. The Park Elle Decor Student Contest welcomed entries across categories, such as architecture, interior design, product design and textiles. Students were nominated by their college HOD/Dean or send in their creations independently.
The entries were shortlisted and the competition was judged by Priya Paul, Chairperson, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Pvt. Ltd. and Meenakshi Shankar, Managing Editor, Elle Décor. Here's a list of the winners:
