The Westin Chennai Velachery appoints Chef Ganesh Teli as Executive Chef


Chef Ganesh Teli has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Westin Chennai Velachery.


In his new role, Chef Ganesh will be responsible for the overall culinary operations of the property. With a career spanning over 13 years in both India and overseas, he has had the opportunity to work alongside the best Michelin star chefs. Describing his style as modern and eclectic, Chef Ganesh skillfully combines his classical training with contemporary methods. A graduate of hotel management from IHM Bangalore, he began his career with Taj group of hotels followed by IHG Hotels & Resorts in USA and Abu Dhabi, and Shangri-La Abu Dhabi before joining Marriott International. In the Marriott family, he has worked with JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, Goa Marriott Resort & Spa, and JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa, which was also his last assignment.


Chef Ganesh specialises in western cuisine and believes food should be wholesome, simple, vibrant and above all delightful. On a plate, it should be diverse in texture, colour and flavour just like the different personalities we cater to. He also enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures.
