Hyatt Regency Pune recently announced the appointment Suraj Kumar Sahoo as Chef De Cuisine for The Café at Hyatt Regency Pune & Residences. With over 12 years of cross cultural experience in Food and Beverage Operations and Client servicing in the hospitality industry, Suraj brings with him profound knowledge, passion, and expertise in the kitchen and F&B department. His last assignment was as the Chef De Cuisine at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Lucknow.
Suraj, who bagged the prestigious Chef of the Year Award by Hoteliers India-2019 in the upper upscale hotel category, holds a BSc. Degree from IIHM-BBSR. He encompasses expertise in menu planning, inventory management and maintenance of a hygienic environment in the kitchen.
During the last 12 years, he has grown from being a Hospitality Trainee to being the Chef De Cuisine now. He has previously honed his craft in kitchens such as the Hotel Taj Mahal, New Delhi, The Park, Hyderabad ,Hyatt Bengaluru and Hyatt Regency Chennai.
At Hyatt Regency Pune & Residences, Chef Suraj would be responsible for The Café, assisting the Executive Chef in duties related to menu planning, portion standardization and supervision of food preparation along with developing new conceptual food promotion.
Chef Suraj would now be responsible for elevating and taking the culinary offerings of the restaurant by adding his personal touch to the dishes.
