Supriya Malhotra has been promoted as Area General Manager for Chennai Cluster of The Ascott.The Ascott Limited is a wholly owned lodging business unit of CapitaLand. In her new role, Malhotra will be responsible for Ascott’s overall operations in Chennai. She will also be leading the Pre-Opening Process of their new properties due to open in India. Malhotra has been with Ascott since 2013 and has previously served as the City Manager for Chennai with direct operational responsibilities of Somerset Greenways Chennai. Malhotra has a vast experience of over three decades in hospitality operations and has held leadership positions with global brands like Radisson, Oakwood, Renaissance and Marriott Executive Apartments. Ms Malhotra is also the recipient of prestigious awards, such as the ‘Woman Leadership Award for Excellence in Hospitality and Tourism’ at the ET Now Seventh World Women Leadership Congress and Awards in 2020, and the ‘Most Admired GM of the Year’ at the Golden Star Awards in 2013. She holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM, New Delhi and has trained at the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development.
