Vistara Celebrates 10 Millionth Customer

Vistara recently flew its 10 millionth customer, successfully, crossing yet another milestone in its journey. To mark the landmark achievement, the airline identified Shuchi Maheshwari as the special customer at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, and surprised her with flowers, a memento and a complimentary Business Class upgrade on her flight UK 983 to Mumbai. The airline also presented her a courtesy Club Vistara Gold membership tier.

Vishesh Khanna, Vice President and Head of Sales at Vistara, presented the special, life-size boarding card to Maheshwari, as other staff and customers joined in the celebration.

Vistara achieved this remarkable feat of flying over three million customers in the last six months. The airline credits this success to its growing popularity as India’s finest airline among travellers across the country for the exceptionally seamless travel experience and ‘intuitively thoughtful’ service it provides to customers across all touchpoints.

A Delighted Maheshwari exclaimed, “I didn’t expect such a special flight when I came to the airport today! The surprise is overwhelming and I am very happy to be a part of Vistara’s celebration – it is undoubtedly the airline I love the most.”

Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer, Vistara, said, “We’re very excited to have achieved this milestone in such a short span of time, since starting our operations in 2015 and with a relatively small fleet of aircraft. It is truly humbling to see how much our customers love flying ‘the new feeling’ with Vistara, which keeps us focussed on our commitment to pushing the envelope and making flying an experience one can always look forward to.”

Vistara has consistently raised the bar for operations and service delivery in the Indian aviation industry. Today, it serves 22 destinations with over 800 flights a week and has a fleet of 21 aircraft. Vistara was recently awarded for being the ‘Most Passenger Friendly Airline,’ jointly by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (Govt. of India), Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), as well as the title of ‘Best Airline – Service Standards’ (Domestic Category), by Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA), at ITB Berlin 2018.
